Chicago is known for its organized crime and politics and now the Department of Justice DOJ) has confirmed that the Chicago Police Department (CPD) has findings of corruption, excessive force, and racial basis in its police tactics. The DOJ report has found police morale, insufficient equipment, and being undertrained as a few of the issues.

There are also questions regarding those in higher positions who has allowed such behavior to take place for years. Some have questioned just high up the ranks this corruption has traveled, not stopping short of including Mayor Rahm Emmanuel’s office as not doing enough to protect the city of Chicago’s citizens.
